The (Malus halliana) is an East Asian crabapple species of Malus. 垂丝海棠 (Chuí sī hǎi táng) is its chinese name.

Origin Edit

It is generally considered to be a native tree of China, although some authors maintain that it is native to Japan, and was introduced into China.

Appearance of Fruit and Flower Edit

The fruits are purple in colour and the flowers are fragrant and pink-coloured.
